Recruiting for commission was, is, and always will be a game mastered by those who have the ability to respond to adversities by continually developing better questions that elicit the true motivations of both candidates and clients. We seek to control the great experiment of recruiting by learning, classifying and responding the variables found within these motivations.

About the Author :

Mike Sylvester is a 1984 graduate of the University of Dayton where he received a BS degree in Marketing. He retired from the engineering placement and staffing industry in 2021, after a successful 37-year career. 

Starting as a recruiter, Mike went on to manage profitable branches for Peak Technical Staffing in Pittsburgh, Detroit and Chicago, from 1984 to 2000. After Peak, Mike worked as an in-house staffing consultant at The Sony Corporation and Westinghouse Electric.  As the charter member of AllTek Staffing in Pittsburgh, Mike led the way for this startup in July, 2002. By 2008, AllTek was named the 9th fastest, privately held staffing company in the US, and one of the top 100 fastest growing service companies in the US, both by Inc. Magazine.

Mike is now a professional recruiting consultant/trainer and lives in Oakmont Pennsylvania with his wife Tia, and their two Chihuahuas Kevin and Frances.
